- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to Accipiter Radar Corporation, 40 Centre Drive, Suite #3, Orchard Park, NY. The Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) has a requirement for Northern border radar sensor feeds in support of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA intends to purchase radar sensor feeds for various locations on the Northern border. This requirement is for the data feeds from existing radar equipment and does not include the purchase or installation of equipment. Market analysis identified Accipiter Radar Corporation as the only known source that can provide the radar sensor feeds in required areas. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 519190, All Other Information Services, with a size standard of $27.5M. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts.
