This is a Sources Sought/Market Research Synopsis ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 16 Network Contracting Office is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice to seek small business manufacturers, distributors of small business manufacturers, and/or veteran-owned small business providers of the same or functionally equivalent equipment to Omnicell Anesthesia 6, 10, and 18 Bin, double deep metal locking drawers and single cell cabinet for use by the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, AR. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112. Equipment is needed add additional medication management support for Anesthesia workroom and must be compatible for use with existing Omnicell equipment. This Sources Sought is a market research tool to ascertain whether there are potential sources and their business size classification (HUB-Zone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business, Women Owned Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, or Veteran Owned Business) relative to NAICS Code 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exist, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's need are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. Responses are to be submitted by e-mail to arlene.blade@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 11:00 am Central Standard Time on April 24, 2017.
