- This combined synopsis and solicitation is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. It is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation will be open for less than 30 days, in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-17-Q-1964. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334515. The Small Business Size Standard is 750 Employees. This requirement is being processed on a sole source basis to Krohn-Hite Corporation, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items on a Firm Fixed Price basis: CLIN 0001: QUANTITY of FIVE (5) Krohn-Hite Corporation 12-Channel Signal Conditioner, Model 3912S-1. In accordance with DFARS 252.211-7003, Unique Item Identifier (UID) applies to these items. The UID information must be submitted in wide area workflow (WAWF) and a UID tag must be affixed prior to shipping. Payment will be via electronic invoicing through WAWF. Delivery is required within 15-weeks After Receipt of Order. F.O.B Destination, Newport, RI 02841. NUWCDIVNPT intends to purchase these Items from Krohn-Hite Corporation on a sole source basis. Only Krohn-Hite's product will ensure interchangeability with existing systems in terms of form, fit, and function. No other manufacturer's parts are physically or electrically interchangeable with Krohn-Hite's components. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. This requirement does not include Electronic and Information (EIT) and therefore, 508 Compliance does not apply. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. Clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items apply to this solicitation. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is DO-C9.
