Description of Supplies/Services WRAIR requests a purchase for NanoSight NS300. The NanoSight NS300 range of particle characterization analyzers from Malvern Instruments are the only commercially available instruments that use the Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) technique and a patented optical design (US patent # 7399600) to size individual particles as small as 10nm based on their diffusion coefficient. This combination provides the unique ability to visualize nanoparticles in suspension and directly observe their Brownian motion, yielding rapid, accurate, high-resolution sizing data by number distribution, as well as count and concentration measurements with visual confirmation of data analysis. The equipment will play an essential role in malaria vaccine development characterization and quality control; it will support mission essential activities of both WRAIR/ NMRC malaria vaccine development laboratories. The total cost of this procurement will be $89,205.05 6.
