Description

Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Biosense Webster (DUNS: 020163218), pursuant to FAR part 12, FAR part 13, and specifically FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The proposed sole source purchase order is for Biosense Webster Slow Flow, Cooling Irrigation Ablation Catheters, for use with existing Biosense Webster Carto-Mapping equipment. The requiring Medical Center for this action is the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. The NAICS code for this contract action is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (SBA Size Standards: 1,000 employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. Sole source award will be issued to Biosense Webster (DUNS: 020163218). There are no authorized distributors for this item. The Slow Flow Cooling Irrigation, Ablation Catheter is designed for use with the existing Carto-Mapping System. Market research was conducted through review of acquisition history. The proposed contract will be a Requirements contract with a base period and 6 month option period. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Monday, June 5, 2017, 08:00PM EST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
