Description
Poland Warranty and Gaps and Seams FedBizOpps New Procurement Modification to HQ0276-16-C-0001 This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to execute new procurement modifications using statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. These contract modifications will be awarded to Lockheed Martin Overseas (LMO), 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057-0927, under contract number HQ0276-16-C-0001. This contract was competitively awarded to LMO to act as the Aegis Ashore Engineering Agent (AAEA) to support integration of the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) at the second Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Phased Adaptive Approach site in Redzikowo, Poland. The AAMDS is comprised of the Aegis Weapons System (AWS), Standard Missile-3 variants, Mark (MK) 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS), and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) systems that will be housed in the Deckhouse and at the MK41 VLS site in Redzikowo, Poland. As a result of this modification, LMO will provide qualified personnel to support combat system engineering needed to maintain an integrated mission system, system commissioning and reach back support, provide facility and interface design development, and issue resolution required to deliver and maintain an effective system. LMO will s upport Inspection and Survey (INSURV) preparations for the system, implement mechanisms to identify, document, and resolve material deficiencies, identify material conditions that limit mission capability, support the development and implementation of closure plans for open items, and procure and ship material required to support the Material Inspection, system commissioning, and warranty support. LMO will provide logistics, site and program management support necessary to assist with the implementation of lifecycle driven site modifications, engineering and technical assistance, site maintenance, and on-call support. To accomplish the tasks in a timely manner, program management oversight is needed for the planning, execution, and control of the actions necessary to execute efforts within the MDA on site organizational framework. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541 -- Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services/541715 -- Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology); 541715 has a size standard of 1,250 employees. The work under this modification will commence in July 2017 and continue through December 2020. This notice is not a request for proposals. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
