Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Orlando (ACC-O) on behalf of Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI) is issuing this synopsis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The Government intends to issue a Full and Open Competition Request for Proposal (RFP) for the award of a single award Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a 5 year ordering period for the Life Cycle Product-line Management (LCPM) effort. The Government anticipates an RFP to be posted to FedBizOpps https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about June 30, 2017, under solicitation number W900KK-17-R-0023, with an anticipated proposal response date of August 11, 2017 and award date of June 27, 2018. The goal of LCPM is to provide the Project Manager for Training Devices (PM TRADE) within PEO STRI a contract vehicle for the implementation of a Hardware Product Line (HPL) and a strategy to efficiently and effectively address life cycle management of identified Live Training Systems. The contract focuses on the shared requirements of all live domain training systems under the purview of the Live Training Transformation (LT2) Family of Training Systems (FTS) with the strategic objectives to maximize commonality and systematic component reuse and to ensure interoperability across the Live, Virtual and Constructive domains. The integrally-related objective of this requirement is to ensure and support the compatibility, commonality and interoperability with current and future LT2 users for HPL components and systems, and to maintain this compatibility throughout the acquisition life cycle at various Continental United States and Outside the Continental United States locations. The applicable NAICS for this effort is: 333318 Other Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing, 1,000 size standard in number of employees. The total maximum ceiling value of the contract to be awarded is $465M. DISCLAIMER: This synopsis is published in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2 and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government, nor should it be construed as such. Submission of any information in response to this synopsis is not requested. There shall be no basis for claims against the Government as a result of any information contained in this posting.
