Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought notice only. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 337215 (size standard 1000 employees). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and are not considered adequate responses to a potential future solicitation announcement. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is seeking sources that can supply the following; The contractor shall provide an Intravenous (IV) solution storage system. The salient characteristics are listed below: 1. Salient Characteristics of Storage System: (a) Space requirements: System must fit within 2,347 square feet area. (b) Dimensions: Shelf must hold boxes of liquid solution which are 16 x10 x10 (LWH). Bottom shelf must be at least 6 inches from the floor. (c) Height: Shelving unit cannot be over 100 inches in height. (d) Durability: Shelving unit must be able to safely hold at least 350 boxes of normal saline which are 31 pounds each (e) Shelf mobility: Shelving units must be able to move back and forth using a wheel or turn-style handle. (f) System mobility: System must be able to be broken down and relocated to another area if needed. (g) Security: Some shelving must have door to allow returned solutions to be locked up until time for destruction. (h) Safety: Handle needs to have a safety button or knob to prevent staff from being crushed between shelves while stocking. (i) Tracks: Tracks must be 1 inch for increased durability. Must sit on top of the floor and not beneath the floor (cannot be recessed). (j) System Weight: System (laden) cannot be over 176 Tons (352,000 pounds). (k) Materials: Shelving should be made of polyvinyl laminate or some other water resistant material Purpose to allow high density storage of IV solutions. It will also allow for secure storage of unused and returned IV solutions The government intends to award a single contract to purchase the commodity listed. Responses to this request should include a capability statement, and three (3) customer references to which you have provided similar items. Responses should also include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is this product available under a federal supply schedule (GSA)? If yes, please provide the contract number. (2) Do you directly provide and install this product? (3) Is your business large or small? (4) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (5) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. (6) Is your firm a certified hub zone firm? (7) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (8) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business? Responses to this notice shall be emailed to Bailey Long, email address bailey.long@va.gov. This notice will close and responses are due no later than 11:00 A.M. EDT June 15, 2017, Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received via e-mail. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available, if a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date.
