- DRAFT Scope of Work The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is conducting a market survey of potential sources who may be interested in providing systems engineering support for the integration of advanced electrical power and propulsion systems during the construction and lifecycle phases of US Navy ships. The resultant contract will assist NSWCPD with executing the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) strategic direction of designing and implementing Integrated Power Systems (IPS) architecture, at various stages of development, across multiple ship classes. IPS architecture combines the traditionally separate Electrical Power System with the Propulsion System. The new architecture will increase operational performance, reliability, as well as reduce the manning requirements of vessels For clarification purposes, a DRAFT Scope of Work has been attached. This is NOT a comprehensive list and is subject to change. Questions should be directed to nicole.canfield@navy.mil. Any information provided shall be treated as Business Sensitive and will not be shared outside of Government activities and agencies without the permission of the provider. All information shall be provided free of charge to the Government. NSWCPD may request further information regarding the capabilities of respondents to meet the requirements and may request a presentation and/or a site visit as deemed necessary. At no cost to the government, the government may request further clarification of a contractor's submission. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by industry responses to this RFI. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities website located at http://www.fbo.gov/.
