- Pricing Matrix IT Systems Support PWS RFI Posting Instructions The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) is the Federal Government's primary training institution for officers and support personnel of the U.S. foreign affairs community, preparing American diplomats and other professionals. The mission of the Foreign Service Institute is to develop the men and women our nation requires to fulfill our leadership role in world affairs and to defend U.S. interests. At the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center (NFATC), the FSI provides more than 450 courses, including over 70 foreign languages, to more than 50, 000 enrollees a year from the State Department and more than 40 other government agencies and military service branches. FSI's Office of Management Information Systems (FSI/EX/OMIS) has comprehensive responsibilities for the operations and maintenance of FSI's internal computer networks and communication systems, and application of the systems to meet both internal FSI needs and the data needs of other Bureaus. The networks interface with the Department of State's WAN and the Internet Cloud technologies. The networks support 950 staff and faculty, and over 12,000 students. The LAN/WANs currently consists of over 2800 desktops and 100 servers to support staff/faculty, classroom, and student use. To ensure the effective implementation of technology-assisted learning, it is essential to help the teaching staff to integrate technology into the curriculum and to assist students to maximize their use of technology-assisted learning during their training. It requires a unique mix of technological knowledge to make true educational use of technology based tools locally and on the Cloud. Extensive experience in applying media and instructional technology to particular subject interests is imperative in order to respond to the needs of teachers and students. Objectives The main purpose of this solicitation is to provide the services below, in accordance with FSI/EX/OMIS needs, to effectively support FSI's Internet worked Computer systems: 1.Systems Engineering Support 2.Computer Systems Analysis 3.Systems Administration 4.Multimedia Lab Support Scope The general scope of work falls under information assurance, operations, maintenance, installation and integration Services. The types of services expected to be provided include, but are not limited to: Systems Engineering Computer Systems Analysis Information Assurance Multimedia Lab Support Help Desk Support Network Administration
