- NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Philadelphia Office intends to procure, for the Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command (CNRF),Sponsorship Outreach Support Services hosted by Society of Asian Engineers. SASE is the only organization that can host this type of specific STEM conference and Sponsorship. SASE is dedicated to the advancement of Asian American scientist and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential. Developing a relationship with SASE affords the Navy the opportunity to introduce the various programs available for the students and influencers. The Federal government has traditionally been the standard-bearer for minority participation in the workforce. Although the Navy is making progress, it must continue to build a pipeline of diverse talented leadership that will be equipped to handle future challenges. For the purpose of this Requirement SASE has the means and the community facilities to provide this service solely to address the Asian American STEM students. The Navy will have the opportunity to meet potential candidates at the SASE Conference and Career Fair held during October 12-14, 2017. This is a superb opportunity for the Navy to support and participate not only for recruiting todays engineers and doctors but also possible future ties for distance learning programs for Nuclear Power School, Civil Engineer Corps and Medical/Dental Graduates Navy must compete against several successful Fortune 500 companies for technically advanced students. Navy Recruiting Commands Annual Conference Planning and Selection Board strategically developed and select only those venues which deliver leads for the required student market. This venue is attributed to a percentage of Navy Recruiting Commands FY-17 new contract goal attainment and the Navy hopes to have the same success during FY-17/18. Further, the viral impact of information shared during this event is the lifeblood of our highly successful referral program from previous attendance participation. This is a sole source action to be awarded to the Society of Asian Engineers, SASE is the only Vendor who can supply the required services for the acquisition. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order will be issued as a result. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice.
