- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for eight (8) Tecplus License renewals. The NAICS code is 511210 and the business size is $38.5. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Tecplot, Inc. The proposed action is for the procurement of eight (8) Tecplus License renewals for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Tecplot, Inc. is the only distributor in North America that can provide the required Tecplus license renewals. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Tecplot, Inc. using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 24 July 2017, 12:00 PM. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 24 July 2017, 12:00 PM will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
