Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair the item as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit Communications and Power Industries “ Microwave Power Products Division, CAGE 99313, Palo Alto, CA, for repair of various Electron Tubes, including but not limited to: NSN 7HH 5960-00-450-2229, part number VTR5118A1, NSN 7HE 5960-00-906-6087, part number VA828D, and NSN 7HH 5960-01-373-5313, part number VTX-5783B1. These tubes are used on board U. S. Navy surface ships in support of systems such as Mk 92 Fire Control System. The Government does not possess or cannot provide the data necessary to perform the required repair of this item. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Approval of a source is required.
