Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals. A solicitation will not be issued at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) has a requirement for a Brand Name Only: Labconco fume hood for a newly constructed laboratory for the VA Brain Bank Biorepository as a part of the Building 78 Renovation Project. Items must be Brand Name Only to match the current dimensions, exhaust requirements, and infrastructure requirements like water. These were installed based on the Labconco specifications as this will be a direct replacement. The construction project has no additional funding to modify the existing design specifications for another floor mounted fume hood model. Based on the current site condition with utility hook up locations and space dimensions no other brand or model lab hood will meet the requirement. Specifications: The requirement is for a Labconco model 5-foot XL Floor-mounted Hood with vertical rising sash and a 55.7-inch depth. The model must also have the following features: - Dimensions: approximately 60 w x 55 d x 95 h - Power: 115V, 60HZ domestic - 2 service fixtures mounted on left side (1 vacuum, 1 water) - 2 electrical duplex receptacles mounted in back - One exhaust manifold centered on top for 10 duct - Capable of handling an external exhaust flow of 950 CFM or greater Delivery FOB: Destination to: Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 The applicable NAICS code is 333415. Small Business manufacturers for this NAICS code have a size standard of 1000 Employees.   The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price order. The delivery term is to be 90 calendar days ARO, with no options included. PLEASE INDICATE IN YOUR RESPONSE YOUR BUSINESS SIZE ANFD IF YOU ARE A MANUFACTURER OR DISTRIBUTOR. IF THE ITEMS ARE AVAIABLE ON A FSS SCHEDULE PLEASE IN CLUDE THE FSS SCHEDULE NUMBER. ALL RESPONDANTS MUST BE MANFACTURERS OR AUTHORZED DISTRIBUTORS. NO REFURBISHED OR GRAY MARKET ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED. It is anticipated that a Request for Quotes will be issued in July, 2017. Award of a firm fixed price contract is contemplated by September, 2017. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside or full & open competition. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) documentation relating to capability of performance of residential renovation projects (including references); (3) intentions of subcontracting program to include set-asides; (4) proof of registration in the VA Vet Biz or SBA websites or intention of registration prior to submission of offers to a solicitation; (5) documentation on company s bonding capacity and limitations; (6) If you are a distributor a statement from the manufacturer that your company is a authorized distributor; (7) a statement to inform the government if you are a manufacturer or distributor; (8) any information regarding FSS Schedule availability; (9) any other pertinent company documentation. The response date to this Sources Sought notice is July 20th, 2017 at 4:00 pm AZ time. This market research is for informational and planning purposes only to determine if a socio-economic set-aside, or full & open competition, or sole-source procurement is appropriate.
