- This is a SOURCE SOUGHT request only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This notice is published for market research purposes only. This notice is open to qualified business sources of all sizes. Information is sought regarding: The availability and capability of all qualified business sources; Whether qualified business sources are small businesses, service-disabled veteran owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, women-owned small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses or large businesses; Authorized distributor, verified by an authorization letter from the original equipment manufacturer; If the items are available via VA NAC, GSA Advantage, and/or open market; Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339112 for the proposed acquisition. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. The Government is seeking potential sources for optometry equipment. The equal item(s) shall meet or exceed the required item(s). Equal item(s): submit detailed documentation why/how the item(s) meet or exceed each brand name item. All items shall be in a new, never used condition. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information to Jared.Zinsmeister@va.gov. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application in the System for Award Management (SAM). Any Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. If your company is not the manufacturer of the requirements listed, then only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted. Please provide a proof of authorized dealer or reseller letter from manufacturer.
