- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, intends to award a sole source contract to the International Spine and Pain Institute (ISPI) for pain management education and training which is required by physical rehab staff to fulfill core requirements. In our present knowledge of similar post-graduate, professional education companies and programs in the marketplace, International Spine and Pain Institute (ISPI), in partnership with Evidence in Motion (EIM), offer the only Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) certification of its kind. This 6-month certification program combines didactic information combined with hands-on education to insure a comprehensive learning process to treat pain in a conservative, non-pharmacological medical management realm. This training will help enhance the providers critical thinking and psychomotor skills to improve decision making and outcomes of care. It will also improve their knowledge of current evidence related to pain neuroscience. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Joseph M. Locke, Contract Specialist at joseph.locke@va.gov. Phone number: 803-776-4000, Ext: 7814 by July 20, 2017 no later than 5pm EST. All capability statements received by the closing date of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 12 commercial procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 61170, Educational Support Services. This is for informational purposes only and not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary. Requirement: 3 Physical medicine providers will start this training September 4, 2017 with an estimated completion date of February 3, 2018. Upon completion of this training all attendees will be certified in evaluating and treating chronic pain. Quantity 3 Unit of Issue: Each Unit Price $___________
