- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center -Weapons Development (NAWCWD) intends to award a sole source contract to Avionics Interface Technologies in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source that possesses the unique capability and expertise that can satisfy the requirement. The purpose of this requirement is to purchase up to fifteen (15) Fiber Channel Interface Units (FCIU) units from Avionics Interface Technologies. The FCIU units are highly specialized and available only from Avionics Interface Technologies, the original developer and manufacturer. The FCIU units needed by NAWCWD need to be identical in form, fit, and function with the previously supplied units. Key requirements are, but not limited to, the following: •The FCIU accepts 16 Fiber Channel inputs and has the capability to filter data. The FCIU has 2 Ethernet outputs and two PCM outputs. Any alternative solution proposed by another vendor must be a form, fit, and function drop-in replacement for the current FCIU supplied by Avionics Interface Technologies. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. Interested parties shall identify their capability to respond to the requirement no later than 15 days from this notice date. Responses will be emailed to William Glenn at William.s.glenn@navy.mil. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors must be certified through Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) in order to access Controlled Unclassified Information within FBO.
