Functional/Performance/Specification The CENTURION ® Vision System is designed to deliver a smooth, responsive and efficient phaco performance to optimize patient safety and surgeon experience. The CENTURION ® Vision System sets a standard in phaco technology for: Control: Active Fluidics maintains excellent chamber and pressure stability Intelligence: Balanced Energy designed to optimize torsional phaco with innovative software and instrumentation Surgeon Control: With Active Fluidics Technology, the surgeon selects: Target Intraocular Pressure (IOP) Patient Eye Level (PEL) Irrigation Factor IOP Ramp System Responsiveness: Throughout the procedure, the system works to maintain surgeon-selected target IOP by actively monitoring and responding to changes in: Vacuum pressure Irrigation pressure Pump speed Active Fluidics Technology supports surgeons in providing the outstanding patient outcomes through1: Excellent chamber stability More consistent range of desirable intraoperative IOP More natural IOP targeting Optimal followability Enhanced pump efficiency Reduced occlusion break surge The key benefit of Active Fluidics is the ability to set and maintain target IOP, so the surgeon can focus on the procedure, rather than the fluidics management. The unique irrigation system of Active Fluidics Technology responds more quickly in changes to IOP than gravity-fed or pressurized irrigation systems.
