- T HIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The solicitation, specifications and drawings are NOT available at this time. Military Sealift Command has a brand name material requirement for the USNS CHOCTAW COUNTY (T-EPF-2) for five (5) each Carver Pump Company fire pump and Baldor/Reliance motor P/N 998-4213-D-13 Centrifugal Pump Assembly to include Pump, Motor and Base Plate. Fire Pump Pumps are carver model 6x4-13 close-coupled horizontal pump built in accordance with ABS HSNC2007 with the following characteristics: Pump capacity: 1295 GPM Total Rated Head: 405 FT Liquid Pumped: Sea Water Specific Gravity:1.03 Suction Temperature: 28-90F Actual Shut Off Head: 581 FT Speed (at any condition): 3581 RPM Efficiency (at any condition): 73.8% Rated Input: 191 BHP (drawing 998-4213-D-13) Maximum Rated Input (at any condition): 199 BHP (drawing 998-4213-D-13) H ydrostatic Test Pressure: 325 PSIG Manufacturer: Carver Pump Company Motor: 200HP Horizontal Continuous Duty 3 Phase, 60 Hertz, 440 Volt, VFD Capable, Premium Efficient Built per IEEE45 for below Deck Duty & in Accordance With ABS High Speed Naval Craft Rules 2007 (HSNC), Part 4, Chapter 8, Electrical Systems with the following characteristics: Rated Output: 200 HP Speed (Sych): 3600 RPM Permissible Ambient Temperature: 50 C Enclosure: TEFC Bearings: Ball DEB: 65BC03J30X ODEB: 65BC03J30X Frame: 447JP Mounting: Horizontal Insulation: Class F Manufacturer: Baldor/Reliance The delivery of the material will be MSC Warehouse, Norfolk, VA, 23511 on February 28, 2018. All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipated award of a contract. The appropriate NAICS Code is 333914, Pump and Pumping Equipment Manufacturing, which has a size standard of 750 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirement to be consistent with industry.
