- Additional Requirements/Specifications •1. SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR Spectra-Physics PRIMOSCAN/ULD-240 (BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO) •A. INTRODUCTION •1. This is a Sources Sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. •2. This is an initial step in the planning process for the delivery of a Spectra-Physics PRIMOSCAN/ULD-240. The Government is contemplating award of a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. •3. The 377 MSG/PKB at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, seeks potential sources To provide one (1) brand name or equal to spectra-Physics PRIMOSCAN/ULD-240 Fully Integrated Midband Ultra-low Diverengence OPO and accessories as listed below in paragraph D. to include FOB-Destination shipping to Kirtland AFB, NM 87117. •4. Delivery Date: Preferred 30 Day After Receipt of Offer (ARO). •5. The North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 1000 employees. •B. INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS: •1. All businesses capable of providing this product are invited to respond. Any information provided to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. Respondents are requested to submit capability packages electronically, as described below. •a. Additionally, the government seeks to procure evaluation services of the performance of the laser with the intent of optimizing the existing (named above) pump laser for use with the future OPO system. Specific requirements are below: Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO): •- Pumped by the 355 nm output of the pump laser; expected power of 240 mJ •- Must function with the Spectra-Physics GCR-170 LAB Nd:YAG laser operating at 20 Hz •- Tuning range should be at least 420-2700 nm •- Repetition rate requirements should include at least the range of 10-30 Hz. •- Output linewidths should be < 7 wavenumbers (cm -1 ) •- Beam diameter should be < 8mm at the exit aperture •- Beam divergence should be <2 mrad FWHM •- Output wavelength control should be automated; as opposed to manual control •- System should include back reflection protection for the reflections in the OPO back to the LAB laser. •- Unit should have feet/extensions necessary to operate with the GCR-170 LAB laser beam height. Installation •- Successful bids should include costs associated with travel to Albuquerque, NM for installation and testing of the system. Spectra-Physics GCR-170-20 LAB Laser eval/maintanence •- Successful bids should include labor costs for evaluation of customer-owned laser to ensure optimal performance with OPO system. •- Customer will pay for shipment of laser TO successful bidder/contractor. Shipping •- Successful bids should include applicable shipping costs.
