Description
Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Medical Air Compressor, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL, as prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. (ii) The solicitation number is VA244-17-Q-1438 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95 (iv) This solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Businesses and the associated NAICS code 333912 has a small business size standard of 1000. (v) Contract Line Items (CLIN): ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QUANTITY UNIT UNIT PRICE AMOUNT 0001 Furnish and Install a "turnkey" project. 1.00 LT __________________ __________________ GRAND TOTAL __________________ (vi) Comparable products must be brand name or equal in the following specifications: REPLACE MEDICAL AIR COMPRESSOR In MER 145 Period of Performance: 120 days after NTP PROVIDE: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment to replace the Medical Air Compressor located in MER 145. Construction must be in complete compliance with associated drawings and specification as well as all federal, state and local codes. REQUIREMENT: Area is located in the Mechanical Equipment Room on the Ground Floor of Building 1. Work to take place during normal working hours. Synopsis: Vendor is to provide a complete turn key system. Including all demolition, piping system alteration, electrical alteration and Building Management System tie-in. Existing Medical Air system is to remain operational during performance of the work. Remove existing Medical Air Compressor and its associated control module. Furnish and Install replacement Medical Air Compressor. Perform all necessary commissioning of new equipment. Provide all necessary training and Operation and Maintenance Manuals Recertification of affected Medical Air System piping. All work to be performed in accordance with manufacturer s recommendations and guidelines. Including NFPA 99 and ASME pressure vessel. Five year manufacturer s warranty Equipment Specifics Oil less scroll compressor providing 45 CFM @ 50 P.S.I.G. medical grade air. Purge control Dual filtration Carbon Monoxide and dew point monitoring Hard wired control panel BACNet interface for integration into facilities existing Building Management System. Further explanation of requirement specifications: Furnish and Install new medical air compressor Furnish and Install new accumulator tank (this is additional scope to be bid as a line item) Furnish and Install new line dryers (qty 2) (this is additional scope to be bid as a line item) Furnish and Install new tie-in points with full port ball valves (qty 2) approximately 40 feet of 1 ½ copper supply required. Adjacent locations in MER-145 were reviewed as possible new installation sites. Furnish and Install new electrical power feed 120/208V from emergency breaker panel in Room 145A approximately 40 feet of 1 conduit required for feeds. New system shall be installed and commissioned (final reports submitted and approved) prior to demolition of existing equipment. Existing control panel to be included as part of demolition. Existing electrical conduit to be demolished back to distribution panel. Currently on the Main alarm panel in ED and Backup panel in the boiler room is to be: Main Hospital Med air compressor fail; Daisy chain these signals to 1 signal i. Main Hospital Medical Air Filter high_____(temp or water high) ii. Main Hospital Medical Air Lag In Use alarm to panel requirement iii.
