Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego (FLCSD) intents to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to SAN DIEGO SEAL, INC. The Government requires shaft shroud boots for the ships power turbine engines which is a sole proprietary product engineered and distributed by San Diego Seal, INC. for USS SAMPSON. This requirement is for commercial items prepared using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the FAR 13.302-1, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The items requested have proprietary split shroud is uniquely manufactured by San Diego Seal, INC. and replacements are not authorized. Other brands will not fit nor are they compatible. There are no other viable manufacturers, vendors, or resellers. San Diego Seal, INC. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Item#MFG Name DescriptionCatalog #:QTY 1San Diego Seal, INCshaft shroud bootsSDS-4229-4024-SSB3 This is an unrestricted, sole-source action. The Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside decision. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FOB Destination applies. Delivery is 60 days ARO. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification and approval documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 09:00 AM PST, 8 August 2017 via email to Angelina.pinahardin@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
