- This is a notice of intent to solicit a sole source proposal for one Laboratory Steam Sterilizer 20x20x38" which meets the following specifications: • The sterilizer must have three sterilizer configurations: gravity, vacuum, and liquid. It must be a freestanding unit with stainless steel sides, rear and front access panel. • Unit must be capable of at least the following cycles: gravity at 100°C to 141°C; vacuum at 100°C to 141°C; and liquid at 100°C to 135°C. • A 20 x 20 x 38" (508 x 508 x 965 mm) chamber size. Interior chamber design shall be rounded to allow for enhanced heat distribution and condensation roll-off to the drain instead of load. • Construction shall be of 316L stainless steel, including sterilizer shell, steam baffles and chamber door. • Door: single, vertical sliding, constructed of single piece 316L stainless steel. Standard Piping: Brass and Copper Threaded • Integrated (non-external) Electric Steam Generator - Carbon Steel, automatic flush at start-up • Electronic water savings control to monitor and meter the amount of cooling water used to condense exhaust chamber and jacket steam. • 120 V, 1Ph; 208V, 3 Phase (for vacuum pump &/or steam generator) • Touch sensitive color control panel • Automatic paper printer to document cycle runs • English Language • Manufactured in ISO 9001 (or equivalent) facility • Sterilizer shall be compatible with Midwestern Lab's existing autoclave carts and carriages such that the chamber's interior rails will lock to carts and accept carriage onto interior rails. Current carts and carriages to work with the following equipment: two (2) Steris Eagle/Century units, model SV-120 (serial #'s 0318314-21and 0328815-16). In addition, the Midwestern Lab's older unit (Steris Eagle/Century serial number 032300709) will be used as a trade-in. The contractor shall uncrate, set in place, re-erect, and assemble the unit. Installation also includes final hook-up to utilities, operational check out test, necessary adjustments, and demonstration for laboratory personnel. The old unit will be used as the trade-in must be uninstalled by the contractor, which shall include the following: disconnect utilities, remove and transport unit to a location where it will be picked up and disposed of by the vendor. The contractor shall provide all materials and labor to prepare the old unit for shipping, including transport to the loading dock area as determined by the laboratory. The unit must be picked up within 2 weeks of de-installation. The old unit is a Steris Eagle/Century serial number 032300709.
