- Description
- This is a modification to W91YTZ-17-R-0094 Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Automated Blood Bank Instrument to include reagents, consumables, training and maintenance of equipment for the Blood Bank, Department of Pathology at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC). This modification addresses the question asked and the allowed space in the Blood Bank for placement of the analyzer. Allowed Space for analyzer placement: The max length is 84 inches (to be able to access our refrigerator) max width is 55 inches (to be able to keep the 3 ft. required egress), max height is 78 inches. (To keep at least 18 inches from ceiling). Please be sure to address the measurements of your analyzer in your technical proposal. Question: within the 'Performance Work Statement', section 1, end of the first paragraph "The contractor shall furnish interface assistance to ensure that the system is interfaced with the LIS/BECS and should provide any software or equipment needed to create the interface. The system must have barcode capabilities. The interface between CHCS and the analyzer must be bi-directional." We need clarification on the level of assistance anticipated with the interface. Can you confirm that 'any software or equipment needed to create the interface' only relates to the vendors analyzer side of the interface and not the interface software itself? Answer: No, if software is required only because of your analyzer needing to bi-directionally interface with CHCS then cost is to be paid by the vendor/contractor. The last sentence- can you confirm our interpretation that the analyzer must be able to 'support a bi-directional interface' with the CHCS LIS since analyzer vendors do not manufacture/create the actual interface? Answer: No, it is required that your technical expert works with our Government IT experts to insure this bi-directional interface' with the CHCS LIS happens. It is not enough for vendor/contractor just to state that their analyzer can support a bi-directional interface; it has to be followed through.
