- Page 1 of 2 ***** Begin Word Document - 'FBO-DESCRIPTION' ***** Page 2 of 2 Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 18 intends to award on a sole source basis [IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)] to the following vendor; Xenex Disinfection Services, LLC. 121 Interpark Blvd Ste 104 San Antonio, TX 78216-1844 Xenex is currently identified as the only responsible source for Preventative Maintenance Xenex extended warranty Services on six (6) Xenex UV disinfection machines, currently in use at the Carl T. Hayden Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Services covered under this service contract are to include the following, but are not limited to: Warranty Services shall include, but need not be limited to the following: All parts, materials and labor required to operate the Robot according to specifications including consumable components Software upgrades 24/7 customer support line Performance monitoring Predictive Maintenance Remote training or retraining Access to phone consultation with Xenex Infection Preventionists and Epidemiologists In-person maintenance and repair training and certification of hospital technician(s) at Xenex manufacturing site (travel costs reimbursed up to $1,500.00), including access to spare parts and specialized toolkit Direct access to Level 3 tech support for certified techs Phoenix Veterans Health Administration (VHA) purchased a total of six (6) Xenex UV Disinfection Robots to disinfect rooms after terminal cleaning. At the time of purchase, a twelve month service, maintenance and repair plan for each Robot was purchased as well. Only Xenex Certified Technicians can service and repair the Xenex UV Disinfection Robots as the system is proprietary in nature. The period of performance shall be for one base year PLUS up to four (4) option years. The Government may extend the term of the awarded base/option year by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days of annual expiration date, provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires. The preliminary (>60 day) notice does not commit the Government to an extension There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS 334510 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit proof of certification, including costs, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same service. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this notice. This notice does not commit the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will be restricted to this information to match information to a possible solicitation. Public Law 109-461 mandates the VA to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. However, if response by Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. There is no anticipated sub-contracting opportunity for this procurement. Notice to potential offerors: All offerors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov before responding to any Government inquiry. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who plan to submit an offer must register with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at https://vip.vetbiz.gov.
