Space Fit Out Drawings Package Statement of Work / Instruction to Bidders SF1442 BID SUBMISSION Bids must be submitted via EMAIL to cguy@ushmm.org MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING / WALKTHROUGH All prospective bidders are invited to participate in a mandatory pre-bid walk through. DATE: 8:30AM EST AUGUST 23, 2017 LOCATION: US Holocaust Memorial Museum 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place, SW, Washington, DC 20024-2126 (Note: Please meet at the Museum's groups entrance on 15th Street) In order to submit a bid for this IFB, bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid walk through. Prospective bidders who arrive at the 15th street group entrance to the Museum more than ten (10) minutes late may be denied entry to the pre-bid walk through. Please RSVP in advance to Chris Guy cguy@ushmm.org Bidders must submit information with their bid to allow USHMM to assess their responsibility with particular emphasis on the special standards in the attached document. This may include documentation on previous projects completed, past performance references and resumes of key personnel. This Statement of Work is for demolition and construction services for preparing the Kimmel- Rowen Exhibition Gallery as per drawings and specifications in support of the upcoming exhibit installation. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) has developed a detailed design for an exhibition to be installed in the Kimmel-Rowen Exhibition Gallery, Lower Level, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place S.W., Washington DC. On October 9, 2017, the existing exhibition "Some Were Neighbors" will close to the public and the gallery will be renovated in preparation for the next exhibition. The exhibit "Americans and the Nazi Threat" is scheduled to available to the public on April 6, 2018, and remain on view to fall 2021. To prepare the Kimmel-Rowen Gallery and adjacent spaces for the installation of the new exhibition "Americans and the Nazi Threat": Demolition of existing carpet; selective demolition of gypsum partitions and electrical circuits, selective demolition of exhibit furniture, patching and painting, construction of gypsum partitions, construction of flooring platforms and ramps, installation of electrical cabling and devices, and other general construction as described in this Statement of Work.
