- Description
- Pease Air National Guard Base (ANGB) will generate Perfluorochemical (PFC) contaminated groundwater in the amount of approximately 15-30,000 gallons annually. The regulated concentration of PFOA/PFOS is 0.07 μg/L. The concentration of PFC's in the water that will be generated is unknown at this time but could range from below the regulated level to a maximum of 70 ug/L. Pease ANGB has 2-12,000 gallon holding tanks on base to store PFC contaminated water and a 5,000 gallon non-potable water tanker truck to transport water to the holding tanks. Pease ANGB is looking for information on potential companies or contractors that can pick-up, treat, and/or dispose of PFC contaminated groundwater following all state and federal regulations. Please provide company information to include the following: Company name; Company Address; CAGE Code; DUNS Number; Socio-economic status; and capabilities statement. Please also provide answers to the following questions. 1) What is your companies capability and method to pick-up and transport PFC contaminated groundwater to a treatment and/or disposal facility from Pease ANGB? 2) What treatment or disposal facility or facilities would likely be used to treat the PFC contaminated groundwater and where are they located? 3) Once transported to a facility what is the proposed treatment and/or disposal action that would be used for the PFC contaminated groundwater whether above or below the regulated levels? 4) What history does the proposed treatment or disposal facility have in treating PFC contaminated groundwater or other similar wastes? 5) What is the price per gallon for treatment and/or disposal of PFC contaminated groundwater for water above the regulated levels; for water below the regulated levels? Does the price per gallon change based on the amount of gallons and frequency of pick-ups and/or the concentration of the PFC contamination within the groundwater? 6) Can your company provide a certificate of destruction for the PFC contaminated groundwater? If the PFC contaminated groundwater is not destroyed can your company provide certification for the ultimate disposition of the PFC contaminated groundwater to ensure it was properly treated or disposed of? Provide responses in PDF format to david.d.devoy.mil@mail.mil.
