- The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to procure: 6 FARO Freestyle Handheld scanners 6 set of 25 Targets for Freestyle 3D 6 Freestyle 3D Calibration Board 6 3D Tablet Surface Pro The proposed contract action is for commercial services, in accordance with the Requirements Statement. The NAICS code is 334516 and the Small Business Standard is 1000 employees. The intent is to solicit FARO Technologies and Authorized dealers on a sole source basis. This requirement is in support of the Navy Criminal Investigative Services, Quantico, VA. Justification for Sole Source/Brand Name is attached. The awarded purchase order for the above requirement is for commercial supplies for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority for FAR Part 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to future similar requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The solicitation will be submitted. However, all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm fixed price contact will be awarded as a result of this quotation. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will neither award a contract nor pay for information in response to this notice. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13. Commercial type clauses in FAR Part 12 will be included in the RFQ, and a shorter solicitation period will be implemented per FAR 5.203(c). Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with DOD and can be obtained at www.SAM.gov.
