Description
Weapon System Management Information System (WSMIS) The Weapon System Management Information System (WSMIS) Program Management Office (PMO), AFLCMC/HIAR, at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, is seeking sources to provide maintenance and sustainment of the WSMIS system. WSMIS contributes to the AF mission by providing standard automated decision support and operational support tools that compute and assess wartime requirements and provide the capability to view impacts of logistic resources on wartime capabilities. WSMIS assesses the logistics "health" and capability of weapon systems to meet wartime tasking(s) as dictated by contingency plans. WSMIS also enhances the management of spare acquisition parts inventory and maintenance requirements by weapon system; by forecasting future needs, providing visibility into the depot repair processes and providing supply chain tracking capabilities. WSMIS provides real-time or near real-time responsiveness for accurate assessment and requirements planning. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Air Force (AF) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it is anticipated that it will be solicited as a FAR 16.505(b)(1) Fair Opportunity Award on the NETCENTS-2 Portal http://www.netcents.af.mil/. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Contractors responding to the RFI shall submit the following inf ormation by 3:00 PM (EST) on 22 September 2017. Responses should be sent to Contracting Officer, Mr. Andrew McMullen, at andrew.mcmullen.1@us.af.mil, and a courtesy copy to Contract Specialist, Ms. Karissa Porter, at karissa.porter@us.af.mil.
