Description

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for Quad Module Upgrade for Leica SP5 serial # 51¬682 with Leica Microsystems Inc, 1700 Leiden Lane, Buffalo Grove, IL, 60089. 1). Quad Module for DM6 CFS/DM6, Catalog # 158004291, 1 EA., 2). Beam splitter Quad LP 560nm, Catalog # 158004294, 1 EA., 3). Beam splitter Quad KP 565nm, Catalog # 158004296, 1 EA., 4). Beam splitter Quad LP 505nm, Catalog # 158004295, 1 EA 5). Beam splitter Quad KP 500nm, Catalog # 158004297, 1 EA., 6). RLD 2 channels for DM 6000 CFS, Catalog # 156504235, 1 EA., 7). Filter cube NDD 2ch, SHG440/CFP, Catalog # 158004268, 1 EA. They do not have any authorized third-party resellers for these products. The items requested will be used to upgrade 405 Laser, as well as beam splitters and filter cubes for the external detectors. The use of multiphoton microscopy is essential to the research that is done in laboratory. The upgrades are necessary to get the most precise images, thus, providing the most accurate data possible. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who are certified by Leica Microsystems Inc as authorized third party resellers may submit a proposal. The vendors shall provide certification from OEM that they are authorized reseller and have access to OEM parts and supplies. All responsible sources may submit a response that will be considered. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and equipment must be compatible with existing systems. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
