- Description
- Full Description PURSUANT TO FAR Subpart 5.2-Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions, THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT TO ACTION. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NON-COMPETITIVE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT OR PURCHASE ORDER WITHOUT PROVIDING FOR FULL OR OPEN COMPETITION (INCLUDING BRAND-NAME). The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Station Support Contracts and Simplified Acquisitions Branch (SS/SA) on behalf of the National Institutes of Mental Health intends to negotiate and award a contract for an upgrade of high-density 128/256 channel EEG system to support neuromodulation from Electrical Geodesics. The added data is essential for quantifying the dynamics of brain connectivity and also to allow for investigation of methods for manipulating brain state to support research into neuroplasticity. EGI is the only manufacturer to produce a 256-channel EEG/ERP system that is MRI-compatible. They are also the only manufacturer to provide associated software for the system that works with our existing MRI data. They are also the only manufacturer to make a tDCS/tACS system that is integrated into their EEG system, allowing for the simultaneous stimulation and recording of the human brain. EGI is the only vendor that has the necessary technical expertise to modify our current system to safely support both MRI-compatible high-density (128-256) channel EEG/ERP recordings as well as high-density independently programmable channels for neuromodulation. Electrical Geodesics 500 E 4TH AVE # 200 EUGENE, OR, 97401-3167.
