Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 22 Logistics Office, intends to negotiate firm fixed price contract. This requirement is being set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS Codes is 238220 and small business size is 15 Mil. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 East Seventh Street, Long Beach, CA 90822 has requirement for a Contractor to provide labor, materials, technical skills to do repair and installation, to upgrade of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system inside the Women s Health Clinic area. Vendor will install new mixing boxes, VAV s, direct digital Control (DDC) zone controls, duct sensors, new duct work, motorized actuators and isolation dampers if needed. Vendor will do air distribution based on VALBS HVAC design guidelines. Vendor will do air balance to meet the air change requirements for procedure rooms. Vendor shall verify all the zone DDC controls and incorporate to the Johnson Control Metasys. Vendor will install stainless steel temperature sensors, do mapping and programing. All work will be done during off hours and weekend if the area is not available during regular working hours. Vendor shall provide layout or prints for the job. List of rooms at VALBHS that will be cover in the HVAC system upgrade are: W131B, W131D, W134, W131E, W131G & W135. Hallways inside the Women s Health Clinic will be included. The HVAC Upgrade completion will be subject to verification and satisfactory operating conditions are meet. Vendor shall provide all the air change readings and parameters for the Women s Health Clinic HVAC upgrade to the HVAC shop. Vendor will check in with the HVAC Supervisor (Julio Bernabe) before performing any work. Supervisor: 30-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Construction Safety Training and provide a copy of latest tuberculin (TB) test results. Personnel: 10 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training and provide a copy of latest TB test results. Period of Performance: September 18, 2017 through October 30, 2017 Contractors are strongly urged to inspect the work area before providing a quote. The only site visit will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The site visit shall be conducted at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 East Seventh Street, CA 90822, meeting area Building 6. Solicitation will be available on or about (O/A ) 09/01/17 with proposals due on 09/11/17 by 2:00 p.m. VA Network 22 Logistics Office shall issue the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunity System (FEDBIZOPS).
