Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 8.405-6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Censis Technologies Inc., under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), "Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized." The proposed procurement is for the purchase of Instrument Tracking System equipment and software licenses for CensiTrac Instrument Management System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 33 4111 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 4:00pm Eastern on September 5, 2017. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to edward.lyke@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
