Attached is the RFQ for this requirement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division, intends to award on a sole source basis Sioux Manufacturing Corporation (SMC), 1115 Dakotah Dr., Fort Totten, ND 58335 for the following: A (8) Kit total below of End Wall Ablative Components Kit B KIT ITEM DESCRIPTION PART# QTY 1 Ablative Block Assy 8407087-9 32 2 Box Beam Cap 8407088-9 8 3 Ablative Bracket 8407089-9 96 4 Flexible Ablative Coating 5599621-1 8 Note: SMC is the sole manufacturer/supplier of ablative products produced to the requirements of specifications issued by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and used as liner material in the gas management subsystems of Vertical Launcher System (VLS). These ablative products are only available through Sioux Manufacturing due to proprietary special tolerance testing and therefore are limited from competition. SMC is the only certified manufacturing company of ablative materials approved by NAVSEA for providing this type of form, fit and performance for NAVSEA certified Vertical Launcher System (VLS) program.
