TITLE: 65-- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE to FSS LARGE BUSINESS FSS CONTRACT: V797D-30111 SOL: VA242-17-Q-0527 DUE: 09-05-2017, 9AM EST SET ASIDE: None NAICS: 339112 POP STATE: United States AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs, JJ Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904 POC: Shari Lee; shari.lee@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE to a FSS contract holder for procurement of OmniRX Lid Upgrade to G4 Console at Bronx, NY VA Medical Center. Department of Veterans Affairs Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award on a sole source basis with Omnicell. (DUNS: 805412665), pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5 and FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The current FSS contract, V797D-30111, is for pharmaceutical upgrades to the operating system, which is called OmniRX Lid Upgrade to G4 Console. These upgrades are needed to ensure accountability and security of all pharmaceutical items within the pharmacy at Bronx, NY VA Medical Center. Market research was conducted and determined that Omnicell is the only vendor capable of providing service necessary that meets the requirements. Omnicell also provided a sole-source proprietary letter stating that these particular upgrades to existing hardware, software and the pharmaceutical operating system can only be upgraded, maintained and serviced by Omnicell, as their software is proprietary thereby ensuring pharmaceutical systems security. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide supplies/services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to September 05, 2017, 9 am EST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
