- The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA NCO22) Network Contracting Office, Located in Long Beach, CA intends to enter into a sole source, firm fixed price procurement with St. Jude Medical to provide Maintenance and Software upgrades of the EnSite Velocity Mapping System located at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073. This proposed contract action is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. St. Jude Medical is the only vendor authorized and capable of meeting the requirement of providing maintenance and software upgrades for the Ensite System. The Velocity System is designed to assist physicians to identify and guide therapy in treating abnormal heart rhythms. St. Jude s EnSite Mapping System is the only one that provides the combination of one-step, high density maps, flexibility of an open platform and an intuitive user interface that mirrors procedure flow. It is compatible with a wide range of diagnostic and ablation catheters; and supports integration with most ablation generators and recording systems. Services shall include Velocity basic assurance protection; telephone tech support; preventive maintenance of the velocity system; EP-Workmate; Ablation Catheter services to include on-site service, repair and loaners as necessary, with standard software, upgrade and revisions. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), September 7, 2017. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Inquires will only be accepted by email. The VISN 22 Network Contracting Activity intends to award a sole source contract (3) business days after publication of this notice.
