- The purpose of this amendment is to provide the following answers to questions received prior to the RFI due date: Q1: Do you have an idea of the sub-surface ground conditions? Would the contractor encounter any solid rock? A: There is a lot of rock underground, from small to as big as 2 or 3 feet in diameter. Q2: The specs call for Schedule 40 framework and ¿Buy American ¿. Can we propose a ASTM 1043 which is a 40 weight domestic product. I have attached a spec sheet for your review. A: Yes, the proposed ASTM 1043, 40 weight domestic product is acceptable.
