North American Classification System (NAICS) Code: 334516 Small business size standard: 1000 Classification Code: 66 - Instruments and Laboratory Equipment Set-aside Status: The proposed acquisition is set-aside for small business. Competition Status: This requirement is posted as competitive small business set-aside. Description: The purpose of this acquisition is to acquire a CO2-Unit-3L gas mixer to upgrade an existing microelectrode array platform. To establish and move stem cell technologies forward through a more centralized effort, NIH has launched the Stem Cell Translation Laboratory (SCTL) within the National Center for Advancing Translation Sciences (NCATS). SCTL goal is to bring iPSC technology closer to clinical application, drug discovery and regenerative medicine. A CO2-UNIT-3L gas mixer is required to connect an existing microelectrode array platform, which has an environmental control that currently requires specialty pre-mixed 5% gas tanks, to a benchtop gas mixer to provide SCTL the ability to connect to an internal CO2 system. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this Request For Quotation (RFQ) to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Refer to attached "Purchase Description Attachment" for equipment specifications, evaluation criteria and methodology. Summary Statement: All responses to this request for quotation must be received by 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, on September 11 and must reference the announcement number specified above.
