- Synopsis: The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) W52P1J-17-R-0166 sole source to Motorola Solutions, Inc. in accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source under the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to fulfill the Government's requirements for new and replacement commercial land mobile radio (LMR) subscriber units, accessories, ancillary equipment and services to replace legacy subscriber units, accessories, ancillary equipment, and services at various Army posts, camps, and stations within and outside of the Continental United States. The equipment must be 100% interoperable with the existing Motorola LMR systems and programming platforms already in operation at each installation. The requirement is for portable, mobile, and desktop subscriber units, accessories and ancillary equipment as well as related warranties. Accessories include belt clips, holsters, spare batteries, antennas, single and multi-unit chargers, ear pieces, and microphones, etc. Ancillary equipment includes cables and antennas required for the installation of mobile and desktop radios. Additionally, the requirements will include installation and programming of mobiles and desktop radios. The proposed RFP will result in a firm-fixed price (FFP) single award. The base items and exercised optional items must be delivered within 12 months after award. Upon equipment acceptance, the 12 months of warranty will begin. The proposed RFP will require an inclusion of priced options in the Offeror's proposal. Streamlined evaluation procedures will be utilized for this procurement. See FAR 12.602. Options can be exercised any time from the date of award until twelve months after award and will also have a delivery date of 12 months from date of option award. The estimated closing date for the RFP is 12 September 2017.
