Description
NASA Johnson Space Center has a requirement for the following: Item Qty Description 1 10 Customized Thermal Dispersion Liquid Flow Switch 2 1 Program drawings, calibration procedures, op sheets 3 1 AS9100 First Article Inspection Report to new drawing 4 10 Acceptance Data Package: packing list, CofC, ATP data sheet NASA Johnson Space Center intends to purchase the items from Fluid Components International (FCI). Fluid Components International is the only supplier with the patents and expertise to fabricate an ultra-pure water system thermal dispersion flow switch fabricated from Hastelloy C-276 with a +/- 2% switch trip point accuracy along with appropriate MIL-DTL-38999 connectors and redundant Viton seals to meet the needs of multiple ground and flight safety loss of flow detection applications. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. central time zone on 9/11/2017. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
