VA262-17-Q-1861 Page 1 of 3 Page 5 of 5 Page 1 of 3 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 -- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures; and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95, dated January 19, 2017. Solicitation VA262-17-Q-1861 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and constitutes the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award contract. This procurement will be issued under as a total Small Business set-aside. NAICS Code is 334519 and the Small Business Administration s (SBA) size standard 500 employees. The Government is seeking a contract to acquire a digital recording system with optogenetic stimulation for correlating single-cell neuronal activity with behavior. The digital recording system will record the genetic identification of neurons using optogenetics. This solicitation is seeking brand name or equal to products. The requirement consists of the following systems and components as brand name or equal to products: Salient Characteristics: A. Must be capable of simultaneously performing in-vivo electrophysiological recordings and stimulation using electrical stimulation ranging from -12V and +12V in real-time. B. Must have 24 user selectable digital I/O lines, with at least 8 Analog input channels and 8 Analog output channels. C. Motorized commutator must have a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of greater than 100 dBV. D. Must have a 64-channel amplifier with signal-noise greater than 80 dBV and Common mode rejection greater than 100 dBV and a minimum of 25kHz sampling rate. E. Must have an optically isolated stimulator with direct synchronization to recording hardware.
