- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Ozark of Fayetteville, AR intends to solicit quotes from Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The Ozark VA Medical Center is seeking to procure two centrifuges and incubators, or two integrated workstations, to perform antibody screens, compatibility testing and various other tests for VHSO transfusion service using the current gel card system. Also required are the pipettors and dispensers required for the system. Scope The Blood Bank needs to replace the current incubator and centrifuge that is utilized to perform testing for the VHSO transfusion service, antibody screens, compatibility testing, antibody identification, along with other testing. The new equipment needs to meet the following requirements in duplicate: Be validated to work with ID-MTSTM Gel Cards that the Blood Bank is currently using with column agglutination technology (gel method). An integrated system (workstation)would be preferred (Incubator & centrifuge in one unit to save space). Workstation kit shall include a work table, 0.5 and 1.0 mL dispensers, and diluent holders. Workstation must be bench top, no larger than 25 W x 15 D x 12 H. Weight must be less than 35 pounds Alarm or beep to indicate cycle completion. Workstation msut have error code display for troubleshooting. Workstation incubator temperature must be 37oC +/- 2oC Workstation incubator must have a temperature monitor with visual indicator. Workstation incubator must have a cassette capacity of at least 15 cards. Workstation centrifuge must have a capacity of at least 10 cards. Workstation centrifuge must have a cycle speed of at least 1000 rpm. Workstation centrifuge must have cycle timing must not exceed 15 minutes. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on or about September 8, 2017 with a closing date for proposals on or about September 15, 2017. The solicitation will be available for download from www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. The Government anticipates making a firm-fixed price contract for this requirement. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112 and size standard is 750 and the solicitation will be issued for SDVOSB (set-a-side). All responsible sources may submit quotes which shall be considered by the Agency. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management) database (information on registration requirements can be obtained by the Internet at https://www.sam.gov and submit their complete Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) via online at https://orca.bpn.gov at proposal due date/time.
