Description

THIS is a NOTICE OF INTENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. This posting is to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.101(a)(1) only. The General Services Administration, Region 2, Public Buildings Service, intends to compete and award a solicitation for painting services, utilizing the SBA's Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program. This set-aside program is designed to increase representation of WOSBs within certain business classifications (NAICS), traditionally under-represented by WOSBs participating in said industries. Specifically, the NAICS code representing this project is 238320 - Painting and Wall Covering Contractors. The requirement is for painting services in an office space - Room 983 at Federal Government Building, 201 Varick St, New York, NY 10014. We have identified 3 WOSB registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). All are located in the NYC metropolitan area, (as contractors within commuting distance of the proposed project location are best suited for this project). We will contact those contractors to discuss their interest in competing on the solicitation and the readiness of their documentation as required by the Small Business Administration, to participate in the set-aside program.
