- The Smithsonian Institution's Smithsonian Enterprises, Ecommerce Division is seeking proposals for total order management, customer service, and warehouse/fulfillment services for SE, ECOM, including an Order Management System which will function as the system of record, with a go-live date of on or before Monday, July 30, 2018. This request for proposals includes live customer service functions, as well as all aspects of catalog and online order fulfillment for the Smithsonian Catalog and SmithsonianStore.com (and new Jewelry-related business). The provider chosen will be responsible for providing detailed reporting and support to the SE, ECOM marketing, purchasing, inventory control, internet, and accounting departments. SE, ECOM would prefer to award a contract for a single-provider solution. Realizing that many fulfillment providers may not have their own Order Management System, SE, ECOM will also accept proposals for multiple-provider solutions, providing that acceptable connectivity between multiple fulfillment providers can be established and plans for such are clearly set forth in the proposal response. This is not a solicitation for a federal contract and is therefore not governed by federal procurement procedures. The RFP will be available on or about September 25, 2017. Please note: The Smithsonian anticipates the need to disclose certain confidential information about its business activities during the RFP process. As a result, we will require that requestors sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to receiving a copy of the RFP.
