- This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334516. The Defense Forensic Science Center (DFSC) located at the Gillem Georgia, provides forensic laboratory services to the Department of Defense investigative agencies and other Federal law enforcement agencies. This contract will cover the purchase of four Life Technologies 7500 Real-Time PCR System with Notebook Computers for Human Identification (HID) Applications and one AB 3500XL Genetic Analyzer HID system to support the Office of the Chief Scientist and the Forensic Expeditionary Directorate Laboratory DNA Branch. The instruments will be used to identify human DNA in forensic samples. The following is a list of the equipment needed: 1. HID, 7500 REAL-TIME, TOWER, SKU# 4366604, Quantity 1 Complete System includes the following: Life Technologies 7500 Real-Time PCR System with Tower Computer for Human Identification Applications. Includes: Dell Tower Computer and flat panel monitor. Chemical Installation Kit including Master Mix, RNaseP primer Probe set, Dye Calibration Kits RNaseP Instrument Verification Kit. Documentation Set including Site Preparation and Safety Guide Installation and Maintenance Guide Chemistry Guide. Getting Started Guides for all major real-time PCR applications. Primer Express primer and probe design software. Warranty of one year parts, labor and service travel. UL ApprovedCUL Approved. TRAINING: One-day onsite training package provided by a Field Applications Specialist. A qualified Technical Specialist will provide implementation support. 2. HID, 7500 REAL TIME, LAPTOP, SKU # 4366605, Quantity 3 Product Description: Life Technologies 7500 Real-Time PCR System with Notebook Computer for Human Identification Applications. Includes: Dell Notebook Computer. Chemical Installation Kit including Master Mix, RNaseP primer Probe set, Dye Calibration Kits RNaseP Instrument Verification Kit. Documentation Set including Site Preparation and Safety Guide Installation and Maintenance Guide Chemistry Guide, Getting Started Guides for all major real-time PCR applications Primer Express primer and probe design software. AB 3500XL GENETIC, ANALYZER HID SKU 4406016, Quantity 1, Complete system that includes each of the following components: 1) A capillary electrophoresis (24-cap) instrument including Dell Workstation and Monitor 2) 3500 Data Collection Software- An Integrated software for instrument control, data collection, quality control and auto analysis of sample files for base calling and fragment sizing 3) Human Identification Analysis reagents and consumables for system qualification Limited Warranty: One-year parts, labor and travel UL 7281 Approved cUL approval A qualified Technical Specialist will provide implementation support. This session is valid only during the initial warranty period of the instrument. 4) This installation kit is for the 3500 series instrument for HID and consists of basis reagents/accessories to enable initial service installation. Potential offerors having the ability to provide the product described are invited to provide a statement via e-mail. The header of the email should reference GeneticAnalyzer2017. The statements shall not exceed five (5) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.); and 4) Ability to provide the product. Responses are due no later than 2:00 pm. EST, Tuesday August 19th, and shall be electronically submitted to Trina Wadley at trina.k.wadley.civ@mail.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
