- Sources Sought The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, is seeking sources that can provide and deliver furniture items for buildings 1143 at Maxwell AFB, AL to match the attached Statement of Requirement (SOR)(see Attachment 1). All feedback and information received may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy. NOTES OF IMPORTANCE : •1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought synopsis, so please do not submit proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought. •2. If the Government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your responses to this sources sought may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary. •3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. •4. Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this sources sought. To assist the Government in developing a potential acquisition strategy, please provide the following information: •1. GENERAL INFORMATON: •a. Company name, address, point of contact, voice and fax telephone numbers and e-mail address. •b. Type of business, (i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc.), under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 337211, which contains a size standard of 1,000 employees. CAGE Code and DUNS Number. •c. Under which NAICS code does your company usually provide the requirements described in the attached SOR. Please provide rationale for your answer if different from NAICS 337211. •d. Please describe any customary commercial contract terms or conditions that you feel would make any resulting contract more effective if applicable. •2. CAPABILITIES: The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources interested in providing the items identified in the attached SOR and Title List. P lease address the following regarding your capabilities in meeting the requirements contained in the attached SOR and Title List: •a. Is your company capable of meeting this requirement in accordance with the attached Statement of Requirements (SOR) and Title List? Please respond "Yes or No." •b. If your response to question 2 (1) above was "Yes", please p rovide no more than two (2) references for no more than two (2) recent and relevant contracts performed in the last three (3) years. Include name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address for each reference. Also, provide a brief description of the work performed, contract number, total contract value and period of performance. SOR  Statement of Requirements Barnes Center for Enlisted Education EPME Instructor Course--Florida Room Furniture Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex, Building 1143 3 August 2017 INTRODUCTION. The Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME) Instructor Course is charged with the education and training of Airmen in skills and competencies that enhance their ability to accomplish duties as an instructor/faculty member in EPME. The school educates approximately 189 students each year. Currently the school has no common area for social events, student collaboration, and/or a break room. The Barnes Center's goal is to transition the Florida Room into a professional area where social events can be held and students can collaborate. Additionally, this space will be available for use by the Chief's Leadership Course and the First Sergeant's Academy (collective annual student throughput of 1428 airmen). The Barnes Center is looking for a café style atmosphere with a high quality feel. DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS. The following items are requirement for performance under this contract: •2.1 Lounge Chair (Quantity: 3) •2.1.1. Chair size shall be a minimum of 35.5" L X 34" W (Inches) •2.1.2. Chair color shall be available in cream, off-white, or similar color •2.1.3. Chair legs shall be made of hardwood or metal and be dark brown in color •2.1.4. Chair shall be made of genuine leather •2.2. Loveseat (Quantity: 1) •2.2.1. Loveseat size shall be a minimum of 50" wide. •2.2.2. Loveseat color shall be available in dark brown, walnut, cream, off-white, or similar color •2.2.3. Loveseat legs shall be made of hardwood or metal, and be dark brown in color. •2.2.4. Loveseat shall be made of genuine leather •2.3. Swivel Chair (Quantity: 2) •2.3.1. Swivel chair shall be a minimum of 34" L and 36" W. •2.3.2. Swivel chair color shall be available in brown, off-white, cream, or similar color •2.3.3. Swivel chair base shall be made of hardwood or metal, and be dark brown in color •2.3.4. Swivel chair shall be round or circular in design •2.4. Sofa (Quantity: 1) •2.4.1. Sofa shall be quarter wide round in design •2.4.2. Sofa shall be a minimum of 60" L and 27" W •2.4.3. Sofa shall be made of genuine leather •2.5. End-Table (Quantity: 2) •2.5.1. End-table shall be round in design •2.5.2. End-table wood shall be stained and dark brown in color •2.5.3. End-table shall be made of hardwood •2.5.4. End-table shall be two tiered •2.6. Cylinder Coffee Table (Quantity: 1) •2.6.1. Table shall be made of hardwood •2.6.2. Table shall be stained and dark brown, mocha, or similar color •2.6.3. Table shall not have any legs and sit directly on the ground •2.6.4. Table shall be round with a minimum size of 36" L •2.6.5. Table shall be no higher than 3' and no shorter than 2' •2.7. End-Table (Quantity: 2) •2.7.1. Table shall be made of hardwood •2.7.2. Table shall be stained and dark brown, mocha, or similar color •2.7.3. Table shall be a minimum of 24" L and 24" W •2.8. Table and Chairs Set (Quantity: 5) •2.8.1. Set shall have one table and a minimum of two chairs •2.8.2. Table shall be round 30" L and between 40" - 44" in height •2.8.3. Chairs shall be between 33" and 36" in height (floor to seat) •2.8.4. The frame of the table and chairs should be made of steel or similar material and have a dark color (gray, black, or similar color) •2.8.5. The seat cushion shall come in a dark blue, or similar color •2.8.6. The seats shall support up to 400 lbs. •2.9. Table and Chairs Set (Quantity: 3) •2.9.1. Set shall have one table and a minimum of 4 chairs •2.9.2. Table shall be round 36" L and between 28" - 32" in height •2.9.3. Chairs shall be standard size and rated to support up to 400 lbs •2.9.4. The frame of the table and chairs shall be made of steel, or similar material, and be dark in color (gray, black, etc.) •2.9.5. The seat cushions shall com in a dark blue or similar color •2.9.6. The chairs shall be designed to with extra wide and deep seats to accommodate for different body types •2.10. Outdoor Bench (Quantity: 1) •2.10.1. Bench shall be made of steel with thermoplastic coating or hardwood •2.10.2. Bench shall be available in a brown, or similar color •2.10.3. Bench shall come in a size between 68" and 78" •2.10.4. Bench shall have a minimum weight capacity of 600 lbs •2.11. Eduskate (Quantity: 50) •2.11.1. Chairs shall be made of nylon frame with elastic mesh seat and back •2.11.2. Chairs shall be available in a black, or similar color •2.11.3. Chair shall be made available with soft padded arms •2.11.4. Chair shall be made available with adjustable lumbar support •2.11.5. Chair shall be made available with integrated cup holder •2.11.6. Chair shall be made available with easy access book storage space •2.11.7. Chair shall have a minimum weight capacity of 250 lbs •3. Installation Requirements •3.1. The contractor shall be responsible for delivering all furniture items to the Enlisted Professional Military Education Instructor Course building 1143. •3.2. The contractor will not be responsible for assembly
