Description
Questions and Answers 1. Q. A similar requirement was solicited in April of this year. Was this ever awarded? A. No, it was not awarded. That solicitation was cancelled. This is a new requirement for a 5 year BPA. 2. Q. What is the time frame for this BPA? A. The time frame is a 5 year BPA. From date of award through a period of 60 months. 3. Q. 52.217-9 has listed 36 months on page 2 but on page 4 it states 60 months. Which is correct? A. 60 months is the correct length for this BPA. 4. Q. What are the estimated quantities of each roll? A. Annually, Philadelphia requires 10 rolls of 24 lb paper and 156 rolls of 20 lb paper. The 24 lb paper is usually required to be delivered in August. The 20 lb paper would be spaced out at 20 rolls per delivery throughout the year, approximately every three weeks. Kansas City requires approximately 400 rolls of 20 lb paper. Kansas City does not use 24 lb paper. Delivery for Kansas City would occur over the year at about 2 to 3 month intervals with the most need occurring in November and January at approximately 104 rolls each delivery then 52 rolls each March, April, and June. The balance would be delivered in August. 5. Q. Why don't you put this requirement on FedBid. This would be excellent for a reverse auction. A. This is not on FedBid as the requirement is not a kknown quantity that would lend itself to a reverse bid scenario. The BPA format seems to be the best method of procuring this product given the uncertain amount required at different times of the year.
