- Description
- Layout of existing equipment in the simulator as well as the desired locations of the new equipment. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the solicitation close time and date to 5 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017. Also, the following Q&A may be helpful: 1. The solicitation is titled "Upgrade". Can the Government provide a complete equipment list and system block diagram of the current system? A - The block diagram is attached. 2. What is the age of the current system and facility? A - Approximately two years old. 3. Is there a blueprint or drawing showing the locations of the existing equipment and the desired installation locations for the new equipment? A - See the attached block diagram. 4. Are there any proprietary interfaces? A - Yes, the medical simulation equipment and medical equipment, PCs, and headsets/communication recievers. The block diagram has the specifics. 5. Further clarification is also needed regarding the contractor vs government (financial) responsibility to bring existing systems and equipment up to a working standard. A - This is a performance-based firm fixed-price requirement. Therefore, the resultant system shall be operational and meet the speciifcs of the Performance Work Statement at the time of hand-over. 6. The Period Of Performance is given as one year from date of contract signing with two one-year option periods. Is there a schedule for the delivery of the new (additional) equipment? A - The mannequins require software upgrades, so the contractor may be called if there are compatiblitiy issues. Also, one more mannequin will be added to the similulator in early FY 2018: Simman 3G, Part Number 212-02001. 7. Given the very short turn time of the solicitation, is there any possibility of a site visit? A - Yes. Contact ronald.a.ascher.civ@mail.mil, 910-396-6401, for scheduling. 8. At two different places in the PWS, there is a conflict with number of microphones to be added to the simulator. Do you want two or three mics? A - Three microphones. See attached block diagram for locations.
