Description

VA Puget Sound Research Department intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with its affiliate University of Washington, pursuant to FAR 6.302-5. This request for Other than Full and Open Competition is for the procurement of a new, Firm, Fixed Price contract with its affiliate University of Washington for expert research services in support of multiple VA-funded research projects. These services will support multiple VA-funded research projects, many which are ongoing. To continue to support these research studies a sole source is required to ensure continuity of these services which directly support these ongoing research projects. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Thursday, September 21, 2017 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
