Description
Title: Platoon Power Generation (PPG) System - Industry Day in Support of Project Manager Expeditionary Energy and Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2) The Platoon Power Generation (PPG) system will provide small units with sufficient portable power to sustain Modified Table of Organizational Equipment (MTOE) unit power demand in support of 48 to 72 hour missions using a common logistical fuel (JP-8). It will be used for charging batteries and powering various types of Army communications and electronics devices. It will provide sufficient power to recharge and power all Platoon equipment and fulfill residual power gaps at the Squad and Soldier level. The system needs to be designed for the needs of all Brigade Combat Teams (Infantry, Armor, and Stryker), Ranger units and Special Forces. PM E2S2 under the supervision of Product Manager Small Expeditionary Power Systems (PdM SEPS) in conjunction with the Consortium for Energy, Environment and Demilitarization (CEED) are hosting an Industry Day on 19 October 2017, in preparation for release of the requirements need. During the Industry Day, SEPS will provide information on the government requirements for the PPG, review, discuss and clarify those requirements in order to present a more complete picture of the need a the user level. SEPS will also provide at the Industry Day, points of contact within the Product group. The PPG is intended to provide power for charging batteries and operating various types of Army communications and electronics devices. The PPG is intended to provide Platoon power for operations in Stryker, Armor, and Infantry Brigade Combat Teams (BCT's) in austere environments. In addition, CEED will explain the procedures and processes for joining the consortium and participating in the PPG Request for White papers as well as the subsequent selection and contracting process to all participants in the Industry Day. There is no cost to attend the Industry Day, prior commitment to consortium membership is not required to attend the Industry Day. Prospective offerors, regardless of consortium membership, are encouraged to attend. Interested parties may obtain further details and register regarding the Industry Day from CEED at https://www.regonline.com/CEED_Industry_Day_PPG Formalized membership to the consortium will be required to respond to the Request for Proposals or Request.
